Herbal teas: variety of flavors and benefits

Herbal tea reminds of warmth and tenderness, of summer and sun or exotic countries. Such drinks diversify the taste sensations, create a pleasant atmosphere and allow you to experiment with taste and aroma. However, what we call herbal tea is not actually tea at all.

What is herbal tea?

Herbal tea is a brew of one or more plant species with a characteristic aroma or beneficial properties. Such tea may not contain tea tree leaves at all, but it is often used in mixtures with black, green and other types of tea, which accentuates the original aroma of the drink. Today, herbal decoctions are becoming more and more popular in all countries of the world, ancient traditions are being revived, new recipes are being created. Many popular restaurants and cafes include a variety of tea blends in their menu, motivating this with the good combination of various types of herbal teas with some dishes and the health effects on the body with regular use. Herbal decoctions are brewed from a variety of plants: rose hips or St. John's wort, lemon balm, mint, oregano, black currant, and leaves and berries are used, depending on the required mixture.
